25 Belgrave Square is the embassy for the Royal Kingdom of Norway within the UK.
This Grade I listed building forms part of a wider grand terrace of houses numbered 25-36 and was built circa 1825 by George Basevi. It is one of four grand terraces facing Belgrave Square.
Dendy Byrne were instructed for project management services.
This project is in the early planning stages for proposed alteration and refurbishment works to the public facing Consulate operations and staff offices. The embassy is to remain open throughout the works, requiring careful consideration of works phasing and implementation.
The Norwegian Embassy has occupied this building since 1949 and the flank elevation has two Coade stone reliefs with Cherubs dating from 1796 that were originally on the former Danish-Norwegian Consulate at 20-21 Wellclose Square, Stepney.
