10 Palace Green is the official UK residence for the Norwegian Ambassador and Royal Family, whilst also serving as a place of work and diplomatic event space.
The building is Grade II listed and situated on a private road between High Street Kensington and Bayswater Road.
Dendy Byrne were instructed for project management services, to assist the client with the preparation of the brief, project team selection and project management through to completion.
The works were undertaken over two phases and sought to sensitively alter and refurbish the building to meet our client’s occupational requirements. The first phase consisted of external building fabric repairs and redecoration, whilst the second phase covered internal reconfiguration and refurbishment works.
We assisted our client at all stages of the project from securing planning, listed building, and freeholder consents to administering the contracts for the work phases and liaison with specialist third parties, such as the Diplomatic Police.
Every year since 1947 Norway has gifted a Christmas Tree to the people of Britain in gratitude for the support provided to them during the second world war, including hosting the Norwegian King and exiled Government at 10 Palace Green.
