Located in the heart of London’s “Theatreland” district, these buildings are all Listed (Grade II and II*) and date from the late 19th Century.
Dendy Byrne were instructed to project manage restoration and refurbishment works to the exterior of the properties.
The works comprised sensitive restoration and refurbishment, including façade cleaning, re-decoration, and repairs to masonry and metalwork.
All work was undertaken with the theatres in operation and required careful coordination with the theatre production teams and the surrounding neighbours and required a high degree of coordination with Transport for London and Westminster City Council given their location.
The opening of the Wyndham theatre, in November 1899, was attended by Edward, Prince of Wales who, just over a year later, would become King Edward VII.
